“Minerva.” Apparently, she is me. Or at least, that’s who came up in a meditation. Let me explain…
January started with Women’s Empowerment week, so I thought: There’s no better time to share one of my favorite meditations (I have another one in the works, coming to you soon!)
In this meditation, I get quiet, maybe in nature. I put one hand on my heart, the other hand on my vulva. Then, I ask myself the first of Deepak Chopra’s soul questions:
“Who Am I?”
Though the first word that came to me was:
“Mother” (my response was “yawn.” I mean, obvi).
Then came...
“Witch” - THAT one made me laugh out loud. I think my Catholic mother would burn me at the stake. Then came...
“Oracle”
“Speaker”
“Healer”
🤔 Okaaay. These are pretty good.
Then “Minerva.”
I had to look her up. “...the Roman goddess of music, poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, weaving, and the crafts.”
Funny what comes out of those deep recesses of my brain. Wisdom I induce or call forth to use.
As we start the new year, I know we’re all going through it, in one way or another. Work and school. Relationship tests. Stressors. Anxiety. We could use some ways to destress.
I encourage you to try this meditation and see what comes up. Who are you?
I’d love to hear what answers you find, deep within. It’s amazing what wisdom we can access when we simply allow it to be heard.
In fact, I’ve been thinking about leading a small group through this specific meditation. If you’d like to join, please press reply and let me know. I’d love to do this is anyone is interested.
xxoo,
Lanae
P.S. I have two new resources available…and they come with a bonus Inner Wisdom meditation that has worked WONDERS for me. Check them out now($9):
The Self-Love Journal and the Create Your Own User’s Manual workbook.
